My new images of the Norfolk coast highlight the conflict between a major fossil fuel installation, the North Sea gas terminal perched on the cliff top at Bacton, and dramatic coastal erosion due to climate warming from the burning of fossil fuels. I wanted to convey the chaos, desperation and perhaps futility of the multiple coastal defences erected against rising seal levels and increased storminess.
The images accompanied an article in the Royal Photographic Society’s Creative Eye magazine.
