My series A Day at the Seaside expressed the joy of the beach and cliffs in the sunshine. In contrast The Coast by Night imagines the coast once the the day trippers have left and dusk arrives. The coast now wears a different cloak, with hints of drama and danger, but with the reassuring presence of a lighthouse.
